The first meeting of the newly elected Parish Council was held in the Recreation Ground Pavilion on Wednesday 14th May 2008 at 8pm.
Present Mr Dalton, Mrs Handley, Mr Huddlestone, Mr Tebbit, Mr Blatch, Mrs Conolly, Mrs Hobbs, Mrs Pritchard, Mr Kilker and Mr White.
1. Mr Dalton was in the Chair for the appointment of Officers
2. The following Officers were appointed for the year:-

Independent Auditor Mr F. O'Keefe
3. Appointment of Representatives for the year:-

Footpaths Mr Dalton and Mr Kilker
Tennis Club Mrs Conolly
4. It was unanimously agreed that the Register of Members' Interests be completed and returned at the next meeting

6. Planning applications
Mr and Mrs Pritchard, The Homestead, Gt. Eversden. Retrospective alterations to a listed building.
Mrs Pritchard declared an interest and left the room during voting.
Application approved by PC.
Mr P. Kilker, 9 Lowfields, Lt. Eversden. Extension to Annexe near listed building.
Mr Kilker declared an interest and left the room during voting.
Approved by PC, subject to the Extension remaining an annexe, not a separate dwelling.
8. Agreed the Clerk purchase copies of The Councillors' Guide Book.
9. The Clerk was also asked to find out the cost of Training Sessions.
